Rod Stewart is a British singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the late 1960s as the lead singer of the rock band The Faces. He then went on to establish himself as a successful solo artist in the 1970s and 1980s, with a string of hits including “Maggie May,” “You Wear It Well,” “Tonight’s the Night,” “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?,” and “Forever Young.”
Stewart was born in London, England in 1945 and began his musical career in the early 1960s as a member of several bands, including The Hoochie Coochie Men and Steampacket. He has sold over 120 million records worldwide and has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the UK Music Hall of Fame.
In addition to his music career, Stewart has also had success as a writer and performer of several books, including his autobiography “Rod: The Autobiography,” which was published in 2012.
